Historic Ticonderoga Maps

PRIDE of Ticonderoga sells framed copies of two historic maps of Ticonderoga.  In 1884 and 1891, aerial maps of the Ticonderoga region were drawn and have proven to be popular symbols of the heritage and history of the Ticonderoga area. Click here if you are interested in purchasing a Ticonderoga map.

LaChute River Duck Race

duckPRIDE of Ticonderoga’s annual fundraiser is the LaChute River Duck Race, which is organized by PRIDE every summer.  Starting in late spring every year, PRIDE begins selling small plastic ducks for the race, which usually takes place during July.  PRIDE numbers the ducks and dumps them from the Frazier Bridge into the LaChute River.  After its fourth year, the LaChute River Duck Race has become a model community event in which a number of citizens participate.  Also as part of the Duck Race, area businesses are invited to participate in a separate race and costume contest for large decoy ducks competing for trophies in several categories.

Annual LaChute River Clean-Up

PRIDE of Ticonderoga’s annual LaChute River Walk Trail Cleaning is held the first Saturday in May. Volunteers from the community clean from the Fraizer Bridge to the Verizon Wireless building in downtown Ticonderoga, New York. Many local organizations donate their time and supplies to the effort. The annual clean-up maintains the Lachute River Walk Trail and fitness equipment stations.
